In another plot twist served over appetizers, pop icon Katy Perry was spotted having dinner with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at a private restaurant in L.A. The sighting comes hot on the heels of Perry’s separation from longtime partner Orlando Bloom.

While sources deny romantic involvement, calling the dinner “a discussion on music and diplomacy,” social media erupted with theories—ranging from political collaboration to budding romance. Perry, who recently launched new philanthropic initiatives, could be looking to Trudeau for support or partnership.
